• Jim Policastro' S Central New York Railroad - An amazing O Scale world !  Jim's layout has something for everyone ! 3-rail , 2-Rail, On30 Narrow gauge.  His layout has been featured in numerous articles and covers of O Gauge Railroading magazine. If you are an O Scale fan, You have to check out his layout ! I can't wait to see it myself !

•    Twin City Model Railroad Museum   -  One of the nicest O Scale layouts I ever scene.  The museum with a footprint dating back in the 1930's has one of the best prototype layouts based on the Twin Cities area.  I could just see my old O Scale EL Lake Cities running through the bluff's area on their layout :)

• New York Society of Model Engineers (NYSME) - The oldest model RR club in the country.  Chartered in 1926, the NYSME operates 2 large club layouts. One in HO and the other O Scale.  I first seen this layout back in 1969 when I was 6 and I was hooked. Located in Carlstadt, NJ, they have 2 open houses a year and a swap meet in OCT which we always go too !  Please check them out !

• MACKBUSES.NET - Your won't believe your eyes ! • VOLUNTEER RAILROADERS ASSOCIATION - A GROUP OF CONCERNED RAILROADERS IN OUR AREA COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE!  They are a non-profit group that runs passenger trains and operating motor cars. These trips have carried THOUSANDS of people. They run them as fund raising events to help to create a NJ State Transportation Museum. They get dirty, they get tired, they have fun. Their our slogan says 'SO CLOSE, ONLY THE PAYCHECK IS MISSING.'

• The PRSL Historical Society    Back after a 20 year break. The PRSLHS is new and starting out again. Covering one of NJ's most interesting railroads with a colorful history. It is free to because a member at this time and your support is helpful.  And it is a fun road to model too . We have done 2 of them (1 in HO and 1 in N) in the past!

• The Erie Lackawanna Historical & Technical Society   The railroad we hold close to our hearts here, with the BCL basically in our yards. A wealth of information for any Erie , DL&W or EL fan.

• Tom's Raritan River Railroad Page    A website dedicated to a great little Jersey shortline that ran between South Amboy to New Brunswick. Tom really dedicated his time and knowledge to this great line.  A great road to model too !

• United Railroad Historical Society of NJ    The people keeping NJ's railroad heritage alive.  They are the ones who owned a great deal of equipment and artifact of NJ's fallen flags and do all the restoration work on them too. Just look at the work they did on the former New York Central #43 Tavern - Lounge Car

• The NYC High Line    A history of the New York Central's Viaduct rail line running through NYC from 35th Street to St. John's Park Terminal (by the Holland Tunnel). Built in 1934, abandoned by Conrail in 1980, it's a great history on one of the NYC's most unusual but important rail lines.

• Trainnut's EL Main Page    One of the most useful pages for any Erie Lackawanna buff or modeler.  Loaded with pictures and facts from Trainnut and visitors too.

• WHIPPANY RAILWAY MUSEUM -   Located on the M&E mainline on Rt 10 in Whippany, NJ. There you will see a great collection of vintage rolling stock, motive power, trackside equipment, an indoor O scale layout and a operating outdoor G scale layout ! AND BACK TOGETHER AFTER 35 YEARS !!  MORRIS COUNTY CENTRAL'S 2-8-0 #385 IS ONCE TOGETHER AGAIN WITH MORRIS COUNTY CENTRAL'S 0-6-0 #4039 ON THEIR HOME TURF !!  !

• RAHWAY VALLEY RR - Great information and photos of a great little shortline RR that was created in 1895 and ran just shy of its centennial when it folded in 1992 ! The abandoned line is going through a resurgence of lately  !

• PHILLIPSBURG RAILROAD HISTORIANS -  They friends to every rail fan in NJ. With hope to make a NJ Transportation Museum for us, they are a very active group in preserving NJ's rich railroad history.  They also are the owners and operators on the famous Centerville & Southwestern Railroad 2" scale equipment and have over 700' of track they run it on weekends !   !
