THE NEW YORK CENTRAL'S SCHENECTADY, NY STATION

Based on the original New York Central RR in Schenectady, NY which has since been razed, the building has beauty inside and out ! Five big arch windows on both sides show the complete station interior. The inside includes benches, ticket agent booth with ticket agents, passengers and six hanging 16V lights !

Outside details include a real looking limestone finish, a super detailed frieze along the top and the ends, platform side canopy with guide wires, real wood doors and a working clocks between the arch window at each end !

roof details include two chimneys and a roof vent canopy with wires for 12VDC if you like to mount a Miller Engineering station sign on the rooftop !  The wires are mounted under the vent canopy.

The station stands out in the light or in the dark !  A true centerpiece for your O scale passengers to start their trips on your pike !

MOHAWK VALLEY RAILROAD Co. MODEL R.R. SHOP

The Mohawk Valley Railroad Co. Model R.R. Shop is an actual hobby store in Schenectady, NY.  A lot of our customers deal with them.  Here is a tone down version of the real building. From split-shake siding in the front to bat board on the side, you have the real feel you are there ! . The stores facade sign are made with Miller Engineering EL lighting components giving a beautiful lighted sign effect. The display windows interiors  display various trains and signs. The buildings is lighted inside with two 5.5mm 14V Miniatronics bulbs. WOOLWORTH'S

What city wouldn't be without a Woolworth's back in the day? Well Schenectady wasn't left out.  Made from various photos of it from the 1950's to 70's. The store's facade sign are made with Miller Engineering EL lighting components giving a beautiful lighted sign effect. The display windows interiors  display various sundries and even their famous "PARAKEET WINDOW" which so many had back in the day. Can be used as a background building also. The buildings is lighted inside with four 5.5mm 14V Miniatronics bulbs. Right down to the red and white awning in front. One of the most noticeable building in Schenectady , the GE building with its huge animated sign was a main staple of the city for years. Thanks to Miller Engineering, they recreated the sign in all its glory. We downsized it so it will fir on many O scale pikes. 104 windows, a carport atrium , lighted with 6 "flourette" style 12V building and the LIGHTWORKS USA GE sign.  Removable roof makes replacing a burnt out bulb a snap. A power inverted is installed for the sign so you can run it on 6 to 17V AC or DC.

RUDNICKS UNIFORMS

Rudnicks is a uniform provider in Schenectady . Sort of a "COP SHOP" where law enforcement, fireman, EMT, Postal Workers and others buy their dress uniforms. A very unusual building with both a flat and an "A" roofline. The stores facade signs are both made with Miller Engineering EL lighting components giving a beautiful channel letter sign effect. The display windows interiors  display various uniforms and signs. The buildings is lighted inside with three 5.5mm 14V Miniatronics bulbs. Over 50 custom casted Hydrocal pieces for the front details. DC power supply included for the operation of the custom signs

 WALLACE DEPARTMENT STORE

Schenectady like all larger cities in the USA had its share of large regional department stores and here is another one. Wallace's was another one of Schenectady's great department stores. With great lines, flags flying it has the feel of a real 1960's department store. We adapted it to fit into many larger layouts. With full displays in each store window, lighted billboard on the roof and custom made Hydrocal ornamental castings this building stands out. This structure was built from over 55 historical photos of the actual structure.

Another structure based on the actual Inn in Schenectady, NY , the Parker is the city's tallest buildings and we didn't skimp here either. THIS IS A TALL BUILDING, 26-1/2" HIGH ! the actual building sits to the left of the Proctor Theater on State St. in Schenectady, NY.  This structure was built from over 100 photos of the actual Inn also. With loads of custom fabricated Hydrocal, Metal and Wood details !  Here are the specs on it:
